I don't know why presenting always makes me so nervous. Generally speaking, I am not a shy person, but there is something about presenting to a room full of adults is off-putting in a way. When Maria and I were at the California League of Schools Tech Conference in Monterey a few weeks ago I thought I was going to have a heart attack when we entered a room they were setting up for 72 (yes, 72!) people. About half that many showed up and depending on how you look at it, that is either a good or bad thing. For me, it was a blessing in a way. I need to get used to presenting to a room of 30 before I can jump into a room of 72. Thankfully, I didn't have to do any of it alone as Maria was there to take charge and lead the presentations until my anxiety subsided and I was able to pitch in.
Here is to the next adventure and training!
