Getting There

So, one of my New Year's resolutions was to blog more.   Stacie and I had a plan that we would take turns blogging every week.  Well if you look at our blog, it's been mostly Stacie.  I am struggling to get in the habit.  It's not that I don't have things to say, blogging is just new to me.

Anyway, here goes.  January has been one busy month.  Stacie and I have been to many schools helping them with the Everyday Math adoption as well as helping to prepare students for the upcoming writing assessment.  Honestly, I have enjoyed it very much.  I have been in the district for almost 20 years and I have not had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with as many teachers as I have this year.  It has been an invaluable inexperience.

As Stacie had mentioned in her last post, we are also presenting at many conferences in Northern California.  I think we compliment each other as presenters and we are having a lot of fun doing it.  We have presented at three conferences thus far and have the Napa Valley 1:1 Summit this weekend.  I haven't really had any fear of speaking in front of people, instead, my biggest fear is that no one will show up.  Luckily that hasn't happened yet.

There have been many changes in my role in education this year and I am embracing each one, slowly but surely!
